Triangle Neighbors (TN)
The Triangle Neighbors Association (TNA) meets the second Wednesday of every other month at 7PM at Roscoe's Back Dance Room (new location beginning June 2009). Our 2009 annual meeting and elections was held on June 10th at Harry Caray's. Our next regular meeting will be at the Roscoe's in the back dance floor (3356 N Halsted) on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 7PM.TN covers the area bounded by Clark, Halsted,
Belmont and Addison.
One of the most important initiatives for Triangle is to build a
community
garden/park at 815-817 W Roscoe. Through various fundraising efforts,
Triangle has raised over $1.5 Million to acquire two adjacent lots and start
construction. Triangle held
the 13th Annual Northalsted Halloween Parade as a
free costume contest for kids, pets, adults and groups. Over 40,000 viewed and 300 participated in
the parade which has quickly grown to become one of the Chicago area's
must-attend Halloween events. The parade draws a broad mix of area residents
including children and families. The iconic annual parade is always
guaranteed to be one of the city's most outrageous and imaginative Halloween
celebrations.
