We’re excited to announce the 12th Annual Triangle Neighbors' Northalsted Halloween Parade sponsored by Effen Vodka on Friday, October 31, 2008 at 7PM.  The costume parade has become the city’s most renowned Halloween event drawing thousands of spectators.  It’s a creative, fun and entertaining event for the entire community that raises funds for our community garden park.  And a Friday night parade means a huge crowd so we’ve extended the parade route north to Addison (versus stopping at Cornelia).  We're excited to announce Miss Foozie has agreed to emcee the parade again this year!

As in past years, we expect to see costumes from garish to ghoulish-worn by adults, kids and pets. The costume contest has been a huge success and we anticipate imaginations to run wild again this year! It’s the year of the “Rat” in Chinese Zodiac and so we’re hoping to see everything from “Ratatouille” to “The Rat Pack” to “Rugrats”, lead by our very own "Franken-Rat".


The parade is completely free and all the sponsorship proceeds benefit the construction of Space Park (815-817 W Roscoe). Registration is at Spin (bring a photo ID) from 5:30-6:45PM and the parade will kick off at Melrose and Halsted and go north on Halsted to Brompton before gathering at our main stage at Roscoe and Halsted.  Awards will be given out beginning at 8PM along with performances from the Chicago Spirit Brigade and more!
