TRIANGLE
NEIGHBORS MEETING | |
|
|
Dear John,
As a reminder, Triangle Neighbors' next
meeting is this Wednesday, July 11th at 7PM at the LVCC
offices located at 867 W Buckingham (Lower Level).
Everyone is welcome to attend. The meeting will last
until 8:30PM and will be combined with CAPS 2331 Meeting to
discuss Halsted Street Task Force.

HALSTED STREET TASK
FORCE
We're excited to combine our Triangle Neighbors' meeting
with CAPS Beat 2331 Meeting. One of the big
topics we will be discussing is the Halsted Street Task
Force. (We'll also be discussing Clark Street and the
working relationship with the 19th District.)
In addition to Wednesday's combined meeting, we will be
having a "Walk the Beat" event two days later on Friday, July
13th at 11PM. Learn what is happening on your
beat. Residents are encouraged to bring their dogs and
meet the officers at 7-Eleven parking lot at
11PM. | |
SPACE PARK UPDATE
Did you see the new top
soil? Thanks to Neill Mansfield of Patch Landscaping, and
Marisa Gora, of Kemora Landscapes
Designs, the park is starting to take its final
shape. We had 150 cubic yards of soil delivered at the
end of June.
Did you see the brick
pavers? At this past weekend's Garden Walk, we
previewed the red brick pavers we will be using. Donors
who purchase a brick will
be UPGRADED to a 12" by 12" brick that will be on the
walkway.

|
OTHER "OLD BUSINESS" We will
review some of the topics we have discussed in previous
meetings (and some new topics) including:
- CHICAGO CUBS - Public Reaction to
Concerts at Wrigley Field (and possible concerts in future
years) - Jill Chamberlain from the Chicago Cubs
- 44th WARD ISSUES - Taxi Stand on
Sheffield and possible increased street cleaning because of
Street flooding (sewer blocked) on Roscoe and
Buckingham - Bennett Lawson from Alderman Tunney's
Office
- HALLOWEEN PARADE - Planning for our
Halloween Parade on October 31st - Steve Bingham from
Chicago Special Events
- CDDC/ZONING - Update on the Wrigley
Area task force and Korean BBQ Liquor License Request for
3463 N Clark - Greg Rohner to report

Wrigley", CLMA's Rhythm of the Night, NAMA's Market Days,
etc. - John Becvar to

|
And don't forget, when you join
Triangle Neighbors, you are automatically a member of Lake
View Citizens' Council and entitled to purchase tickets for
"An
Evening at Wrigley" on Friday,
July 27th. The event has sold out in the past and will
likely sell out this year, too! Run the bases and play
on the field.
After the
on-field portion of the event, fans are invited for ballpark
fare, drinks and a silent auction in the Stadium Club with
fabulous items to bid on! Choose from theatre tickets,
restaurant and hotel packages, sports memorabilia and even an
opportunity to throw out the first pitch at the August 29 Cubs
game!
See you on Wednesday at the Triangle Neighbors'
meeting at 7PM,
John
