Two community meetings
have switched dates or locations so we wanted to send this
updated email.
Triangle
Neighbors will meet next Wednesday, November 5th (one week
earlier) at Nookie's (3334 N Halsted) immediately following
the CAPS 2331 meeting
at 7PM. Belmont Harbor
Neighbors will meet 7:30PM on November 18th at 555 W
Cornelia (instead of the usual location at John Merlo
Library). Alderman Helen Shiller will be a special guest
speaker at BHN's meeting.

HALLOWEEN PARADE: $4,000 in cash and
prizes Don't forget to register to
participate in tomorrow's Halloween Parade and
costume contest sponsored by Effen Vodka, Northalsted Area
Merchants Association, Bud Light Lime and LPAC/LVAC.
Register at Spin from 5:30PM-6:45PM. Ten winners
will be chosen in categories for kids, pets, adults, couples
and groups. There are over $4,000 in cash and
prizes to be given away tomorrow night - many chosen by
audience applause. Plus, you'll still have
time to go out afterwards and try for more prizes at our
parade sponsors Cocktail, Halsted's, Hydrate, Minibar/Winebar,
Murphy's
Bleachers, Roscoe's, Sidetrack

TRIANGLE MEETING AGENDA FOR NOVEMBER 5th
Immediately following the CAPS 2331 Meeting,
we'll have updates from our standing committees and
community groups. Please note, we will be meeting at
Nookies (Buckingham and Halsted).

- We recently started construction on the brick
wall but there's still time to get your brick.
- LVCC -
Founders Club event on Veteran's Day, November 11th
at Harry Caray's - complimentary drinks and hors d'oeurvres.
- CHICAGO
CUBS - Learn what is happening at NHL
Hockey Game on January 1st (12 Noon) at
Wrigley.
- HALLOWEEN
PARADE - Feedback from the community
welcomed on tomorrow's parade and what to do next year.
- ZONING - The Developer at
Clark/Addison is back - - and this time with an even larger
proposal.

EVENTS
11/3 (Mon) Cook County Property Tax
Due - The second installment of 2007 property
taxes are due. Pay at Chase banks or downtown. Learn more.
11/4
(Tue) Presidential Election - Remember to
vote if you haven't taken advantage of early voting. You
can only vote at your designated polling place. In
addition to President, you can vote for US Senator and whether
or not Illinois should hold a Constitutional Convention
(Con-Con). Find your polling
place.
11/5 (Wed) CAPS 2331 and Triangle
Neighbors Meeting - Meet with the police
that patrol our neighborhood and stay to discuss zoning and
other concerns with the Alderman's Office and the Chicago
Cubs. Both meetings will be held at Nookies (Buckingham
and Halsted) beginning at 7PM.
11/7 (Fri) Art Walk 2008 - Visit
three galleries (The Leigh Gallery, Slaymakers and Art de
Triomphe) from 5PM-10PM and enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres
from Firefly.
11/11 (Tue) Founders
Club Event - Support our troops and
the local neighborhood at Harry Caray's from
6PM-9PM. Tickets are $50 and up. RSVP Today.
11/15 (Sat) How Lake View Looks 4 Fashion
Show - See the fashions from local Lake
View businesses at this CLMA annual event held at Cubby
Bear 6:30PM-9:30PM. Tickets are $10 in
