Commission will be meeting tomorrow, 21 August at 1 PM, City
Hall, 121 North LaSalle Street, Room 201A. The project at
Oakdale and Sheridan is on the agenda to be discussed.
Everyone with an interest in this development is encouraged
to attend and provide your comments. Here is tomorrow's agenda.

Please come out and join the
Beach Party (formerly an annual cruise). The boat is docked
and they picked up some Castaways - double the fun!! This
event is hosted by Lakeview and Lakeview East Chambers of
Commerce! Live Reggae Music by White Dove and includes
Summer Buffet and Complimentary Premium Hosted Bar (with
tropical drinks!)

Counter Pre-Opening Party
The Counter - Custom
Built Burgers, 666 West Diversey, is inviting SELVN members
to be guests at a pre-opening party on 5 and 6 September for
lunch and dinner. Reservations are required for
complimentary lunch and dinner. Party size is limited to 4
people per table. Call 773.935.1995 for reservations. This
is a training opportunity for employees, so your patience is
appreciated. This invitation is extended to SELVN
members and their guests only.
13/14 September - Lakeview East Festival
of the Arts
The Lakeview East Chamber of
Commerce is proud to host the 4th Annual Lakeview
East Festival of the Arts, under the direction of
Erin Melloy, EM Events. The Festival takes place on Broadway
Avenue stretching from Belmont to Roscoe.
The 2008 Lakeview East Festival
of the Arts showcases over 140 juried artists and features
world class original paintings, sculptures, photography,
furniture, jewelry and more. The Festival also features
entertainment stages where some of Chicago’s
favorite musicians
will play throughout the weekend.
24 September - Town Hall Meeting w/ State
Representative Sara Feigenholtz and State Senator John
Cullerton
Town meeting
at Merlo Library, 644 West Belmont from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
Come prepared with questions for your state represenatives.
