Upcoming Events in the Area
26 June - City Stickers Available at 44th Ward Service
Office
City stickers
with residential parking permits can be purchased from 10 AM to 6 PM
at 1057 West Belmont. Checks (in-state only, made payable to
City Clerk) and credit cards (MC, Visa, & Discover)
will be accepted. Bring renewal forms if available. Proof of
residence and ID will be required. You must be in line by 5 PM to
purchase stickers.
28 June - LGBT Pride Parade
The annual LGBT
Pride Parade will take place through East Lake View. Parking
restrictions along the parade route (Halsted, Broadway, and
Diversey) and assembly area will be enforced from 5 AM to 8 PM.
There will also be parking restrictions on Belmont west of Broadway,
east side of Clark (Welllington to Halsted, and Wellington (Halsted
to Clark). All cars in these areas will be ticketed and towed.

30 June - Community Meeting Regarding Trader
Joe's
A community
meeting will be held at 6:30 PM to discuss the proposed development
at the southeast corner of Orchard and Diversey. The meeting will be
at Alcott School, 2625 North Orchard.
19 July - Lake View Garage Sale
Central Lake View
Merchants Association is hosting the 2nd Annual Lake View Garage
Sale from 12 Noon to 6 PM. This will be held on the parking lot at

19 July - Weisman Park Advisory Council Garage
Sale
Weisman Park
Advisory Council will be sponsoring a garage sale from Noon to 5 PM
on the 1100 block of Wolfram. Proceeds will benefit the renovation
of Weisman Park at Mildred and Oakdale. The council is seeking
donations for sale (no furniture or adult clothing). Contact Marie
Poppy at mariepoppy@comcast.net if you have questions. Donations
will be accepted through 15 July at St. Luke's Church office, 1500
West Belmont, Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 3 PM.
