Zoning Projects for Discussion at Next Triangle
Meeting
3552 N Halsted (at Brompton)
Originally
presented to Triangle Neighbors in November 2007, there
is a proposal to build a mix-used building at 3552
N Halsted. After, the neighborhood voted against a
revised proposal, a third presentation was
presented at the March 2009 meeting and drawings have
been posted to the LVCC website.
SCARLET BAR
Following the fire at 3320 N Halsted,
Kevin Jackson would like to propose an upzoning of the
property to match the adjacent
properties.
CLARK-ADDISON PLANNED
DEVELOPMENT (PD)
M&R Development is
seeking to revitalize the south side of Addison Street
between Sheffield and Clark. The proposed mixed-use
development consists of a hotel, additional retail
outlets and apartment units located along the south side
of the 1000 block of W. Addison Street, from Sheffield
west to Clark Street and extending south on Clark
approximately one block. The developer
has created a website with more details.
LINENS 'N THINGS RE-ZONING
The owners of the shopping center at Clark and
Halsted have had some recent discussions to a
request to amend the underlying zoning from a B1-3 to a
B3-3 in order to allow for a greater range of tenants to
re-establish in the Linens and Things location.
