| Dear John,
We are pleased to announce
the Triangle Neighbors' Annual Meeting and Election
for 2009-'10 Officers is Wednesday, June 10th at
7PM at a special location, Captain Morgan Club
(Addison/Sheffield).
The Cubs partnered with Captain Morgan
and Harry Caray's Restaurant Group to present the
Captain Morgan Club, a year-round
restaurant located at the southeast corner of
Wrigley Field, near the Harry Caray statue (see
below for more details).
Captain Morgan Club will provide food
and drinks between 7PM and 8PM as we conduct our
annual meeting. If you are not a member, you can
join Triangle Neighbors on the spot for $25 (everyone is
welcome). We hope you'll join us to hear
about our accomplishments this past year, what's in
store with Space Park, and how you can get involved
in your neighborhood! John | |

Upcoming Neighborhood Events
Belmont - Sheffield Music
Fest - 5/30-31 (Sat/Sun) Let summer
begin! Held at one of the city's most eclectic
intersections, the 2009 Belmont-Sheffield Music Fest kicks off
Chicago's summer's outdoor festival season -- and
celebrates its 25th year -- on Saturday and Sunday, May
30-31.
Among the performers will be party bands
Modern Day Romeos and Hooked on Sonics as well as
Chicago power popsters Dot Dot Dot, and local rockers
Mike & Joe, Mr. Blotto and Sixteen Candles. Also set
to perform are tribute bands Elevation (U2) and Trippin'
Billies (Dave Matthews). Rounding out the lineup will be
the pop/rock stylings of Stache, Rock Candy and the
Sugarbeats.
PLUS a NEW "Battle of the Bags"
Tournament! Brush up on your bean bag tossing skills as
the festival will feature two days of play! On Saturday,
it's open play for everyone. (There's a $25 fee per
two-person team with either advance registration online,
or on-site at the fest.) And on Sunday, it's a full day
of tournament play with cash prizes for the top team
winners.
Triangle Annual Meeting -
6/10 (Wednesday)
Join your Neighbors at
Captain Morgan Club - the new addition to Wrigley
Field. Non-members can join and existing members
can renew for 2009-'10 on the spot for $25 at the
door. Drinks and appetizers included from
7pm-8pm. Free for Triangle Members in good
standing.
Chicago Pride Fest -
6/26-27 (Friday and Saturday)
Thanks to the input of residents like
you, Northalsted has expanded
Pride Fest to a 2-day event before the Gay Pride
Parade. Hosted by (and benefiting) the Northalsted
Area Merchants Association -- the same group behind the
wildly popular Northalsted Market Days (set for the
weekend of August 9-10) -- this equally crowd-pleasing
gay and lesbian celebration of community pride will be
back bigger than ever in its 6th year!
Pride
Fest showcases an eclectic lineup of arts & crafts,
food and other vendors. It also features entertainment
on two stages including one dedicated to some of
Chicago's fine performers in the gay community.
