As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to make sure you know of these noteworthy opportunities to give back to the community.

Thursday, 11/20 - 23rd District Community Lunch for Seniors at Circuit

Thursday, 11/20 - Non-denominational Thanksgiving Service (see below)

Saturday, 11/22 - Belmont Harbor Neighbor's Food Drive at Treasure Island

Additionally, LVCC is again sponsoring "Operation Mitten" to help the 19th and 23rd Police District patrol officers distribute gloves to the children in need that they encounter on patrol. Donations should be made payable to LVCC and indicate the payment is for "Operation Mitten". The checks should be sent to LVCC at 867 W. Buckingham, Chicago, IL 60657.

Please remember you can also bring non-perishable food items to your neighborhood branch meetings or to the LVCC Office. We will in turn make sure all the items collected are given to the Lakeview Pantry.

Finally, LVCC's recent Founder's Club raised several thousand dollars to support the neighborhood and several hundred dollars to support veteran's. We want to thank all who contributed to this cause.

Join us at an interfaith, Thanksgiving worship service. Please bring offerings of canned goods and other non-perishable items that will be donated to the Lakeview Pantry. Cash donations also accepted.
