Halloween Parade

This Friday Evening!

Join us at one of the most anticipated events on Halloween for Triangle Neighbors' 12th Annual Northalsted Halloween Parade.  To enter the costume contest, there is free registration from 5:30PM to 6:45PM at Spin (Belmont/Halsted).  Kids and pets register outside and adults/groups inside with a photo ID.  The parade kicks off Friday night at 7PM at Melrose and Halsted and proceeds north on Halsted to Brompton before heading back to the main stage at Roscoe.  There are thousands of dollars in cash and prizes awarded immediately after the parade.  Plus performances from Chicago Spirit Brigade, Fire breathers and our emcee Miss Foozie begin at 8PM at Roscoe and Halsted.  Learn more.

Upcoming Election
Early Voting Ends Tomorrow

Early Voting continues at 51 sites for Chicago voters through Thursday, October 30. All Chicago sites are open daily through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  If you are registered to vote, you don't need a reason or excuse to use the convenience of Early Voting -- but you do need to present a current government photo ID.  Chicago voters may vote at any Early Voting location in the City of Chicago and avoid any kind of scheduling problem that may occur on Election Day, November 4, 2008.  Once you cast a ballot during Early Voting, you cannot return during Early Voting or on Election Day to change your ballot for any reason.   Merlo Library (644 W Belmont) is a participating location.  Learn more.
Founders' Club
Support the Neighborhood and the Troops

LVCC's Founders' Club event is being held on Veteran's Day, Tuesday, November 11th from 6PM to 9PM at Harry Caray's (3551 N Sheffield).  Proceeds from the event, in addition to supporting local neighborhood programming such as building neighborhood parks, buying bikes for the police and mittens for underpriviledged children, will also go to support our troops.  Avoid the line at the door and reserve your spot at this exclusive fundraiser and enjoy cocktails and appetizers.  Tickets start at $50 and your donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. RSVP today.
