Dear
John,
On behalf of the Officers and Board of Directors of LVCC, we
want to wish you a safe, healthy and happy holiday season. Its hard
to believe a new year is upon us, but the past 12 months have been
very busy for the Lake View Citizens Council. We spearheaded Operation Mitten, which provides winter
outerwear for needy children, supported property tax reform, hosted safety seminars for
the community as well as forums on Chicago's Olympic bid and a
5th U.S. District Congressional candidate forum-and that's just
a few of the year's programs. The Holiday Party on December 3 was attended
by more than 600 community residents and business leaders, and we'd
like to thank the businesses of Lake View that so generously donated
food and drinks for the guests. It's a privilege to be part
of such a fantastic neighborhood, and we look forward to working
with you in 2010. Please check our website for more information on how you can
get involved. Happy Holidays! Jennifer Dedes Nowak, President,
Lake View
Citizens' Council (LVCC)

The Central Lake
View Merchants Association is proud to sponsor The Rink at Wrigley.
Building on the success of the 2009 NHL Winter Classic, which
featured the Chicago Blackhawks playing the Detroit Red Wings at
Wrigley Field, a full-sized skating rink will operate on the Cubs

is sponsored by 44th Ward Alderman Tom Tunney, Chicago Cubs, Chicago
Park District, Westrec Marinas, City of Chicago, Chicago Blackhawks,
McDonald's, Central Lake View Merchants Association, and other local
businesses. This is a wonderful way to showcase our community and
our city throughout the winter months. We want to thank all those
involved for their generosity and help in making this possible. Now
everyone get out there, skate and have some fun!
